Product information "Karin Traditional Ebru Marbling Paint 105 ml Concentrate – 702 Dark Grey"

Traditional Ebru Marbling Paint 105 ml Concentrate – 702 Dark Grey

The color 702 Dark Grey gives Ebru and marbling works a distinctive depth and a modern, powerful appearance. It is particularly suitable for high-contrast backgrounds, clear line patterns, and elegant compositions with strong structural impact. In both traditional and contemporary Ebru and marbling techniques, Dark Grey ensures precise separations and a striking, well-balanced overall look.

This concentrated, paste-like Ebru marbling paint is individually adjusted with water and ox gall and is suitable for precise, classical Ebru techniques. From 105 ml of concentrate, approximately 200 to 500 ml of ready-to-use paint can be produced – depending on the pigment (approx. 2× to 5× yield).

Properties

  • Highly pigmented – intense color strength
  • Individually adjustable with water & ox gall
  • Very economical – 2× to 5× yield depending on the shade
  • For classical motifs (e.g., Battal, Gelgit, comb, flowers)

Application (briefly explained)

  1. Stir the concentrate thoroughly (paste-like consistency).
  2. Dilute gradually with water until the desired viscosity is reached.
  3. Use ox gall to regulate spreading and surface tension.
  4. The paint is dropped onto a water bath thickened with carrageenan or another thickening agent (marbling bath). On this thickened water surface, the patterns are formed and then transferred onto paper.

Note on Yield

Dilution depends on the pigment and the desired technique.
